Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with a delegation from the Asian Peace and Reconciliation Council(APRC) led by its chairman Surakiart Sathirathai on Monday afternoon.

Li said China is willing to work with other Asian countries to build an Asian community of common destiny to maintain long-term stability and prosperity in Asia.

Surakiart Sathirathai, who is also former Thai Deputy Prime Minister, expressed his hope that APRC will contribute more to mutual understanding and trust among Asian countries.

APRC is an independent non-governmental organization, with its secretariat office located in Thailand at the Eastern Asia University compound.

APRC aims to create a network of experienced individuals from within and outside of Asia, whose expertise and contacts can help in promoting peace and reconciliation in the region. Endi
