China's top legislator to visit Laos

China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang will pay an official goodwill visit to Laos from Dec. 1 to 3, at the invitation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and the Lao government.

Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), will lead a delegation to attend the celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Democratic Republic during his visit, said a spokesperson of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on Sunday.
