Xinhua, November 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

The first group of ten Mozambican civil servant workers from the country's Labor Ministry leaves Maputo on Saturday for China for professional training.

The state-owned Radio Mozambique said in its report that the ten are going to be trained on entrepreneur management and telecommunications sectors, as well as knowing the Asian nation, for two weeks.

The project is under a memorandum of understanding the Mozambican Ministry of Labor and the Chinese company of information and communications, Huawei, signed last September in the Mozambican capital, Maputo.

The aim of the agreement is aimed at establishing the cooperation relations on institutional capacity, with more focus on the training of workers on the mentioned sectors and on job professional training.

Under the memorandum of understanding, Huawei would provide 20 scholarships to the Labor Ministry's workers, among them trainers for the Mozambican National Employment Institute and Professional Training (INEFP), and in the country's schools on communications and information.

At the farewell ceremony, in which the Chinese ambassador to Mozambique Su Jian attended, the Labor Minister, Vitoria Diogo, regarded the project as the unique opportunity for the workers to acquire knowledge and experiences to be used in the country.

"This is what we want. To have other instruments in terms of knowledge and abilities so that you can work better and convey these knowledge to other Mozambicans," Voctoria added.

The memo also intends to send, in a two-year period, 120 university students or graduates of the higher education to China.

For his part, Su said apart from learning on entrepreneur management and dominate telecommunications, Huawei will provide the trainees an opportunity to see a real China in rapid development.

"I congratulate the ten ministry's workers for having an opportunity to go to China for training. The participation in this training course will open a new window for you to know more about China with your own eyes," he said.

This is the first stage of the implementation of the memorandum. Mozambicans are also to be trained in the public administration, Information and communications technology, financial and human resources management.
