Indian military says IS a live threat

Xinhua, November 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

Indian military on Saturday described the terror group Islamic State (IS) as a live threat that cannot be ignored.

"The IS is a live threat that can't be ruled out or ignored," Lt General Satish Dua, the general officer commanding (GoC) of Indian military's Srinagar-based 15 Corps said.

"It's a cause of concern and we are monitoring it on our own level."

Dua was talking to media in Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

The terror group recently carried out an attack in Paris killing at least 127 people and wounding over 200 others.

The attack evoked wide condemnation all over the world. Endit
