Huawei, Telefonica reach agreement to promote migration to cloud

Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei and Spanish network provider Telefonica on Friday made public an agreement for the two companies to work together in promoting the transfer of traditional business IT services to the Cloud.

This initiative is aimed at helping companies to store information in Telefonica data banks without the need to invest in expensive equipment.

To do this, Huawei will make its Open Cloud service, which has already proven a success in China, available in eight Telefonica data centers, starting in Brazil, Chile and Mexico in early 2016 and in five other countries before the end of the year. Endit
