Urgent: Earthquake jolting 173 km northwest of Iberia, Peru, was upgraded to magnitude 7.5

An earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale jolted 173 km northwest of Iberia, eastern Peru at 22:45:38 GMT Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 602.34 km, was initially determined to be at 10.5846 degrees south latitude and 70.9656 degrees west longitude. Endit
