France's Hollande condemns "cowardly" Tunis attack

Xinhua, November 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

French President Francois Hollande strongly condemned the "cowardly attack" which targeted presidential guards in the Tunisian capital, Tunis, his office said on Tuesday.

Hollande expressed his "full solidarity" with Tunisians, stressing that "France is more than ever standing by the side of Tunisia and its authorities and security forces in these painful moments."

"In Tunis and Paris, it is the same struggle for democracy against obscurantism," he added.

At least 12 people were killed and another 14 wounded after a bus carrying presidential security guards exploded in downtown Tunis on Tuesday, the country's interior ministry said. Endit
