Macedonia, Bulgaria sign program on Culture Cooperation for 2015-2017

Macedonian Minister of Culture Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska and Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Culture Boil Banov here Friday signed a program for cultural cooperation to enhance bilateral cultural ties for the time period 2015-2017.

"The interlocutors underscored the significance of the Macedonian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia, where over 180 projects have been promoted in the past ten years aimed at promoting Macedonian's culture in Bulgaria," stated Kanceska-Milevska.

She reaffirmed promotional activities would be organized in the second-largest Bulgarian city of Plovdiv, which in September 2014 was selected as the Bulgarian host of the European Capital of Culture 2019.

Kanceska-Milevska informed Banov on the measures taken in Macedonia to promote cultural exchange, including translating several Macedonian books into Bulgarian. Endit
