Mike Harris's team-high 28 points brought the third consecutive win in the season to Sichuan in a third-round game of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.

Sichuan's rivals Shandong won two away matches in the first two rounds, which gave them strong confidence to claim the third victory at home court in Jinan.

The host team did get off to a good start for a 34-28 first quarter lead. Sichuan managed to rally in the second quarter, but Shandong still took a 63-58 halftime lead with four players scoring two-digit points.

The visiting team levelled 89-89 after the third quarter as they did well in both defence and attacking with three foreigners. Shandong nearly turned over in the last quarter, when they once were only two points behind.

Iranian center Haddadi took 27 points and 20 rebounds. Justin Dentmon contributed 20 points and 8 assists. Michael Beasley of Shandong suffered an injury, thus contributing only 22 points.

In Sunday's other matches, Xinjiang hammered Bayi 118-77, Guangsha crushed Tianjin 117-97, Guangdong beat Shanghai 107-103, Beijing defeated Shenzhen 102-94, Qingdao edged Jiangsu 125-124, Zhejiang tamed Fujian 116-106, Aolong won over Shanxi 107-97, Jilin held off Poshan 115-109, Liaoning eased past Tongxi 116-98.  Endi
