Zambia to attend four-nation soccer tournament in Angola

Zambia will take part in a four-nation tournament to be played in Angola, the country's soccer governing body said on Tuesday.
The Angolan Football Federation has organized the four-nation tournament as part of celebrations of that country's 40 years of independence.
Angola will be celebrating its independence anniversary on Nov. 11 but the football tournament which has been dubbed "40 Years of Independence Tournament" will take place on Nov. 6-7, according to a statement posted on the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) website.
Zambia will join the hosts Angola, Namibia and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for the tournament to be played at the 11th November Stadium in Luanda town.
Nkweto Tembwe, the spokesperson of Zambia's soccer governing body said the technical bench will use the tournament to prepare players for forthcoming international engagements.
Coach George Lwandamina has since summoned 24 players comprising senior and under-23 players for the tournament.
The spokesperson said the purpose of including both senior and U-23 players is to prepare them for forthcoming international engagements.
The U-23 national soccer team are preparing for the Africa U-23 Championship finals scheduled to start on Nov. 28 in Senegal while the senior team is expected to play Sudan in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier away in Khartoum next week.
