Senior CPC official meets European socialists

Liu Qibao, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met with a delegation of the Party of European Socialists (PES) headed by Sergei Stanishev on Tuesday.

Liu, who is also head of the publicity department of the CPC Central Committee, said China and Europe have seen sound and steady development of relations and face more new opportunities in their cooperation, and China supports European integration.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of establishing ties between the CPC and PES, Liu said, expressing his hope that both sides will deepen party-to-party exchanges.

Sergei Stanishev, president of the PES, said he hopes the PES and CPC will have more communication on global and national governance. Endi
