Clash leaves 2 Taliban militants dead, 3 injured in E.Afghanistan

Conflict between security forces and Taliban outfit claimed the lives of two militants and injured three others outside Ghazni city on Monday, provincial governor Mohammad Aman Hamim said.

"The clash erupted in Qala-e-Qazi neighborhood outside provincial capital Ghazni city Monday morning but the militants, after suffering casualties fled away," Hamim told Xinhua.

Taliban group commander Qari Ahmadullah alias Bilal and his bodyguard were killed and three others were injured in the firefight, he added.

The clash erupted after the Taliban militants fired several rockets on Ghazni city, the capital of Ghazni province, 125 km south of Kabul Monday morning and fortunately caused no loss of life and property damage, the governor asserted.

Taliban militants who are active in parts of Ghazni city are yet to make comment. Enditem
