British FTSE 100 decreases 0.54 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday decreased by 0.54 percent, or 34.71 points, to 6,361.09 points.

Share prices of Taylor Wimpey increased by 1.75 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Anglo American, Glencore, Meggitt and Wolseley increased by 1.64 percent, 1.53 percent, 1.18 percent and 1.12 percent respectively.

International Consolidated Airlines Group SA led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.10 percent, followed by Barclays (2.59 percent), Morrison Supermarkets (2.16 percent), Randgold Resources (2.14 percent) and Shire (1.74 percent). Endit
