Xinhua, October 31, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria on Friday released the names of 19 rugby delegates for the Olympics qualifiers, scheduled to hold on Nov. 14-15 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The list comprised 14 players and five officials, who would be led by Edward Pam Fom, the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) President.

The team is to be captained by Azeez Ladipo of Cowrie RFC, the NRFF said in a statement issued in Lagos, the country's economic hub.

It stated that most of the foreign-based players were discovered at the recently held President Cup international invitational tournament held in Lagos from Oct. 24 to Oct. 25.

The home-based players are expected to depart Nigeria on Nov. 8 while the team will have five-day training ahead of the qualifiers.

Nigeria is drawn alongside Zimbabwe, Uganda and Zambia in Pool B. Endit
