French stock market index up 0.24 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 finished the trading day with an advance of 0.24 percent to close at 4,897.66 points on Friday, up 11.84 points.

Thanks to some good trimester performances of several European enterprises, the CAC 40 of Paris closed slightly higher on Friday with 23 of the 40 selected stocks gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Friday were Renault, up 5.25 percent, Airbus Group, up 4.40 percent, and Valeo, up 2.81 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Friday were L'Oreal, down 4.57 percent, Capgemini, down 2.28 percent, and Vivendi, down 1.88 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 0.10 percent to close at 4,885.82 points, down 4.76 points. Endit
