Hungary plans to create regional center for Chinese medicine

A regional center for traditional Chinese medicine here would include treatment, research and training, said Hungarian State Secretary at the Human Resources Ministry Bence Retvari on Thursday at a conference focused on Chinese medicine in Hungary.

Retvari pointed out that Hungary was committed to promoting ties with China and saw cooperation in health care as an important area.

Retvari emphasized that there was room for both the conventional European treatment methods used by Hungarian doctors and for the many-thousand-year-old Chinese medicine, which could complement one another.

Plans call for establishing the Budapest Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine on a seven hectare area in Budapest's 15th district. Endit
