NATO Force Integration Units (NFIU) will be present in Slovakia as of next year, as it was passed by NATO defence ministers in Brussels on Oct. 8 and approved by Slovak cabinet at its session on Wednesday.

NFIU will be based at the military barracks in the Bratislava borough of Vajnory and staffed by 41 persons, including 21 members of the Slovak Armed Forces.
