French stock market index up 0.90 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 finished the trading day with an advance of 0.90 percent to close at 4,890.58 points on Wednesday, up 43.51 points.

Because of the rebound of the petroleum price, the CAC 40 of Paris closed slightly higher on Wednesday with of the 40 selected stocks gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Wednesday were Solvay, up 3.80 percent, ArcelorMittal, up 3.70 percent, and Technip, up 3.62 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Wednesday were Vivendi, down 0.79 percent, Safran, down 0.79 percent, and LVMH, down 0.47 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 1.02 percent to close at 4,847.07 points, down 50.06 points. Endit
