The UN General Assembly on Tuesday voted overwhelmingly to adopt a resolution, calling for ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States against Cuba.
Altogether 191 UN member states voted in favor of the non-binding resolution, while the United States and Israel voted against it.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Senate on Tuesday passed a controversial bill aimed at promoting better cybersecurity information sharing between the private sector and the government.

TRIPOLI -- A helicopter carrying 23 people crashed Tuesday off the coast of Al-Maya, 25 km east of the capital Tripoli, according to a military source.

KABUL -- The Afghan government on Tuesday announced that the victims of Monday's massive earthquake in far-flung areas, who sustained critical wounds, will be shifted to the capital Kabul.
"Government's efforts are underway to assess the damages caused by the quake. The critically wounded people will be transported by the Afghan National Security and Defense forces and Afghan air force to Kabul and other equipped hospitals," presidential spokesman Sayed Zafar Hashemi told reporters.
