League leaders Ajax and Feyenoord made no mistake in the 10th match round of the Eredivisie on Sunday, with Ajax beating Vitesse 3-1 and Feyenoord defeating AZ with the same figures.

Vitesse took the lead in Arnhem against Ajax through Valeri Qazaishvili in the 54th minute, but the visitors bounced back via Viktor Fischer, Riechedly Bazoer and Lasse Schone. The assist for the last goal came from debutant Sam Hendriks, a 20-year-old striker.

Feyenoord thanked Dirk Kuijt for the 3-1 home victory against AZ. For the second match in a row he produced a hat-trick. His first goal was a beautiful lob and after the equalizer by Joris van Overeem he added two more by deflecting a shot by Bart Nieuwkoop and by converting a penalty. The 35-year-old striker now is the top scorer of the Dutch league with 10 goals.

On Saturday PSV recovered from the disappointing 1-1 draw against Excelsior last week and the 2-0 loss against VfL Wolfsburg in the Champions League. The reigning Dutch champions beat FC Twente 3-1 in Enschede.

Luuk de Jong headed in a cross by Adam Maher to open the scoring in the second half, with Hakim Ziyech equalizing within three minutes from a rebound. Jurgen Locadia gave PSV the lead again in the final phase of the match and substitute Gaston Pereiro secured the 3-1 victory.

Also on Saturday Heracles Almelo beat bottom-side De Graafschap 1-0 in Doetinchem. Iliass Bel Hassani became the match winner seven minutes from time. On Friday PEC Zwolle suffered a surprising 2-1 loss at home against FC Utrecht, with French striker Sebastien Haller scoring two goals.
