Xinhua, October 20, 2015 Adjust font size:

Births of new enterprises in France reported a 3.6 percent growth in September compared to August, after falling for two consecutive months, French national statistics bureau Insee said on Tuesday.

Seasonally and working-day adjusted data showed enterprise births jumped by 3.8 percent (excluding self-managed enterprises), compared to August. While including the number of self-managed enterprises, France registered 44,816 new firms.

For the July-September period, the creation of new start-ups decreased by 4.3 percent from the same period last year following sluggish activities of construction and retail trade.

In its monthly report, Insee noted 45.2 percent of new enterprises over the last 12 months were microentrepreneurs' registrations. Endit
