TPP, key deal for Asia-Pacific: China's MOC

Xinhua, October 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is one of the key free trade agreements for the Asia-Pacific region, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on Tuesday.

China is open to any mechanism that follows rules of the World Trade Organization and can boost the economic integration of the Asia-Pacific, said a statement on the MOC website.

China hopes the TPP pact and other free trade arrangements in the region can boost each other and contribute to the Asia-Pacific's trade, investment and economic growth, it said.

Twelve Pacific rim countries sealed the deal early Monday to create the largest free trade area of the world. Endi
