Boca Juniors close to win Argentine league

Boca Juniors defeated Crucero del Norte 1-0 on Sunday in Argentina's local tournament and is now close to become champion, local press reported on Monday.

Carlos Tevez, who failed at a penalty at the seventh minute, scored the winner four minutes later.

Boca Juniors has gathered 61 points, six more than second-placed San Lorenzo, just three matchdays before the end of the tournament. Endi
