French stock market index up 3.54 pct on Monday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 3.54 percent to close at 4,616.90 points on Monday, up 158.02 points.

Investors feeling that the American central bank Fed wouldn't raise the basic interest before the end of year, the CAC 40 of Paris was encouraged to close higher on Monday with all of the 40 selected stocks gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Monday were ArcelorMittal, up 8.65 percent, Technip, up 7.55 percent, and Accor, up 5.33 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained a slight advance of 0.73 percent to close at 4,458.88 points, up 32.34 points. Endit
