LME base metals close mixed on Thursday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed mixed on Thursday.

Trading was lighter than usual with Chinese markets closed for the country's seven-day National Day holiday.

The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 45 U.S. dollars, or 0.87 percent, to 5,117.5 U.S. dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price increased 10.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.67 percent, to 1,586 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price lost 10 U.S. dollars, or 0.60 percent, to 1,660 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price increased 19 U.S. dollars, or 1.13 percent, to 1,703 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 125 U.S. dollars, or 1.22 percent, to 10,337.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price lost 72.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.47 percent, to 15,465 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
