Chinese president back home from U.S. visit, UN summits

Chinese President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing Tuesday after his state visit to the United States and attendance at a series of UN summits.

Xi paid the state visit to the United States from Sept. 22 to 25 at the invitation of U.S. President Barack Obama. He visited the UN headquarters in New York to attend a series of summits to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the world body from Sept. 26 to 28 at the invitation of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
