Lebanon beat Jordan 80-76 at Asian Championship

Lebanon downed Jordan 80-76 at 2015 Asian Championship of men's basketball here on Tuesday.

Both team scored less than 20 points in the first quarter to set the tone of the match. Amir Saoud had straight five points down to start the second period, helping Lebanon take the lead 21-12. They extended the advantage to 15 points of which Saoud contributed 14 this single quarter, 45-30.

Mohammad Hussein and Mousa Alawadi combined 11 points for Jordan after the halftime break, cutting the deficit from at most 17 down to 10 points before the last quarter.

As Jordan continuing to demonstrate aggressiveness in the fourth quarter, they were only 76-80 down with 10 seconds left. Then they missed several chances in the paint to hand the victory to Lebanon.

Alex Legion had match high 24 points and three steals for Jordan while his teammate Zaid Abbas was limited to seven with hitting two out of twelve. Amir Saoud topped Lebanon with 20 points. Endi
