Libyan coast guards on Tuesday rescued 350 migrants off the northwestern Garbulli coast, according to the official LANA agency.
Coast guards found a boat some 60 km east the capital Tripoli coast near Garabulli which was carrying the migrants, said a Libyan navy spokesman, who called on competent authorities in Libya to "receive the migrants and do the necessary legal procedures to either house them or deport them."
Last week, European ships rescued more than 4,500 migrants off Libyan coast as they were on their way to Europe.
Due to years of chaos and insecurity in Libya, the North African country has become a preferred point of departure for immigrants wanting to cross the Mediterranean to Europe.
According to the International Organization for Migration, more than 350,000 migrants have managed to cross the Mediterranean to Europe this year, many of whom departed from Libya. Endit
