Philippines beats India 99-65 to top Group E

The Philippines boosted in the second half to blow past India 99-65 and topped Group E here on Tuesday at the FIBA Asia Championship.

India took a good start, leading by one point after the first quarter. The Filipinos then got bearings and proceeded to take over. They had a bearings and proceeded to take over, and broke the game wide open in the last two quarters, building a lead as high as 37 points.

Terrence Romeo led six Filipino players in double-digit scoring with 20 points, while Andray Blatche added 15.

Now the Philippines are at first place in their group and are awaiting the results of Group F to see whom they will face on Wednesday. India's performance was also good enough to hand them a berth in the quarterfinals. Endi
