Myanmar Wave Rider Cup, KTA Race Open to be hosted in Ngwe Saung beach

First-ever Myanmar Wave Rider Cup and KTA Race Open will be hosted in Ngwe Saung beach in Ayeyawaddy region of Myanmar from Oct. 28 to 31, according to Myanmar Yatching Federation Monday.

Organized by the federation, the Myanmar Wave Rider Cup is a multi-sport event which will include Windsurfing and open SUP racing, alongside the kite racing.

The KTA Race Open will run both Formula and TT Classes each day of the event, with a possible fun Freestyle Expression session as an added bonus, if time and conditions allow.

About 130 riders from South Korea, Japan, France, Thailand, the Philippines, host Myanmar and other countries are expected to participate in the event.

Of them, altogether 20 Myanmar athletes will take part in standup paddle and windsuring categories.

The Ngwe Saung Yacht Club and Resort is the first yacht club to be established in the Bay of Bengal. It however comes with high credential after successfully hosting the 2013 SEA Games. Endi
