Xinhua, Spain's EFE pledge closer cooperation

Xinhua, September 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

The presidents of Chinese and Spanish news agencies Xinhua and EFE met in Beijing on Monday, as the two organizations discuss deals to buy each other's news products.

Xinhua's Cai Mingzhao hailed the relationship between Xinhua and EFE since they first signed a pact over cooperation in 1989, and said he looks forward to further joint work.

Cai stressed the agency's exploration of new media, saying Xinhua is committed to providing more news and information products online. Traditional news agencies must adapt to win market share in the Internet age, he suggested.

EFE President Jose Antonio Vera said he hoped to learn from Xinhua's experience in new media. Endi
