Chinese doctors in Guinea Bissau provide free treatment in village

Xinhua, September 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

A team of 12 Chinese doctors in Guinea Bissau over the weekend came to the village of Quinhamel, some 40 km from the capital Bissau, to provide free treatment there.

"Our aim is to help people who do not have access to hospitals and health centers," the team leader Luo Li said.

The Chinese doctors hope to provide free treatment for at least 200 patients in Quinhamel during their stay.

It is part of a health campaign launched by the Chinese medical team based at the Bissau military hospital to offer free treatment outside the capital.

The campaign is expected to cover all regions of the West African nation. Enditem
