Urgent: U.S. dollar plummets on Fed statement

The U.S. dollar dived against other major currencies on Thursday as the Federal Reserve statement showed that the policy makers kept the interest rates unchanged this month.

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1405 dollars from 1.1287 dollars in the previous session, while the dollar bought 120.16 Japanese yen, lower than 120.62 yen of the previous session. Enditem
