Pakistan arrests 3 human smugglers from U.S. embassy

Pakistani authorities on Monday arrested three human smugglers outside the American embassy in Islamabad, officials said.

The Federal Investigative Agency (FIA which also deals with immigration issues, nabbed the two men and a woman when they were in the U.S. embassy for their business.

The alleged smugglers were accused of sending students on fake documents under the pretext of students cultural visitors program.

They had opened a fake company in California, officials said. Many of those sent abroad had gone missing in the United States.

The three people were taken for questioning.

Officials said the alleged smugglers had arrived at the U.S. embassy to submit documents of 30 students, adding another one escaped. Endi
