Combined height of world's tallest married couple reaches 423.47 cm

As the representatives of China, Sun Mingming and Xu Yan, visited the Guinness World Records Headquarters in London on Thursday, claiming the title for the tallest married couple across the world, with their combined height reaching 423.47 cm.
The couple got married in 2013, and their combined height exceeded former Chinese basketball player Yao Ming and his wife Ye Li's record of around 416 cm.
"I was shocked when I first saw my husband, I didn't expect people could have such a height," Xu told Xinhua.
Craig Glenday, editor in chief of Guinness World records, introduced, to take the accurate average height of the couple, Guinness measures their height three times a day.
"For 60 years, we have committed ourselves to documenting the world in a very interesting, different and unique way through the lands of superlative. We are not about news gathering, and also not an encyclopedia, we are somewhere between. And our job is to paint a picture of the world including the extremes of the universe. Such as we have the tallest man and the shortest man, which could make people understand of the range of human's height," said Glenday.
The latest edition, Guinness World Records 2016, issued on Thursday, also revealed many astounding and interesting achievements, including the most balls caught by a dog with the paws in one minute was 14, the largest hot dog cart, the tallest cowboy boot sculpture, the largest ball-point pen, etc. Endit
