French stock market index up 0.59 pct on Monday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained a slight advance of 0.59 percent to close at 4,549.64 points on Monday, up 26.56 points.

Investors being cautious about the world economic growth, the CAC 40 of Paris closed slightly higher on Monday with 31 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Monday were Alstom, up 3.60 percent, Orange, up 2.31 percent, and Bouygues, up 2.05 percent.

The three companies whose stocked dropped most on Monday were EDF, down 0.53 percent, Technip, down 0.45 percent, and Essilor Intl., down 0.37 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped by 2.81 percent to close at 4,523.08 points, down 130.71 points. Enditem
