Policeman killed in mid-Western Nepal

A police head constable was killed by the anti-constitution protesters in Mid-Western Nepal on Friday, police officials told Xinhua.

Police head constable Dev Bahadur Pandey died at a local hospital in Bardiya District of the Mid-Western Nepal who was injured in an attack by the anti-constitution protestors earlier Friday, Nepal Police spokesman Kamal Singh Bom said.

This incident has come two weeks after an 18-year-old youngster and eight policemen killed during demonstrations against the new constitution in Kailali District of Far Western Nepal.

"The investigation will be carried out shortly into the incident," the police spokesman said.

The anger has been enraged for about a month in the Southern Nepal after Nepal's major parties struck a breakthrough deal on the new constitution.

The Himalayan nation has been witnessing series of protests for a few weeks over the proposed number and delineation of federal provinces and demands to be included in the new constitution. Endi
