Xinhua, September 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

The military of India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in the restive Kashmir region by targeting each other's positions, officials said Thursday.

Troopers on the two sides fired small arm fire towards each other in Krishna Ghati of frontier Poonch district, 185 km southwest of Srinagar city, the summer capital of the Indian- controlled Kashmir.

The Indian side has not suffered any casualty or damage in the fire exchange, officials said.

Security talks between India and Pakistan were cancelled last month. Endi
