Air Mauritius signs deal with Hong Kong Airlines, expects more Asia business

Xinhua, September 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

Mauritius' national carrier, Air Mauritius, on Tuesday signed a partnership agreement with Hong Kong Airlines, hoping to expand its operations in Asia.

The agreement is expected to enable travellers to get more connections along the Mauritius-Hong Kong route, and eventually towards mainland China.

"Introduction of flights towards Asia is a key element in our strategy. Hong Kong is part of key destinations in this network because it is connected to the rest of China and other countries in southeast Asia," Air Mauritius's head of administration council Arjoon Suddhoo said at the signing ceremony in Port Louis.

At present, Air Mauritius offers 21 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and in the southwestern region of the Indian Ocean. Endit
