Australian international Robbie Kruse joins Stuttgart on loan

Xinhua, September 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Leverkusen's offensive midfielder Robbie Kruse joins Stuttgart on loan, both Bundesliga outfits confirmed on Monday.

The Austrian international agreed on a one-year loan deal that keeps him until the end of the season with the "Swabians". Kruse plays since 2013 for Leverkusen but comes mainly from the bench under head coach Roger Schmidt.

"Robbie Kruse knows the Bundesliga very good. He took part in Leverkusen's preparations and eared some match practise this season. With his speed and agility he brings the ideal requirements for our style of play," Stuttgart sporting director Robin Dutt said.

Since his arrival at Leverkusen in the summer 2014, Kruse netted four goals in 21 official matches.

"I look forward to this new task at Stuttgart. I want to do my job to ensure that we play a better role in the coming weeks and months," the Australian new arrival told the club's official homepage.
