Xinhua, August 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

An anti-aircraft drill kicked off Monday at the Shabla Air Defense Range on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast involving units from Bulgaria and Slovakia, officials said.

During the four-day exercise codenamed Shabla-2015, the Bulgarian Air Force (BAF) together with the country's land and naval forces would improve air defense preparedness of their units, BAF said in a press release.

S-300, Neva and Cube anti-aircraft missile complexes, as well as MiG-29, Su-25 and L-39 aircraft and Mi-17 helicopters would be among the armaments involved, it added.

A Slovak division armed with S-300 anti-aircraft missiles joined the drill.

The exercise at Shabla Air Defense Range has been organized since more than 20 years and has become a traditional training of the Bulgarian Army and Air Force. Endit
