New Zealand wins cricket series in Zimbabwe

Xinhua, August 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

New Zealand sealed a 2-1 series win over hosts Zimbabwe after posting a 38 run victory in the third and final one day International cricket match in Harare on Friday.

Zimbabwe was dismissed for 235 runs 14 balls remaining. It was a disappointing result for Zimbabwe who looked to be in control of the match for long periods but despite Sean William's 63 and Hamilton Masakadza's 57, it was not to be their day.

Kane Williamson scored 90 for New Zealand and he was named man of the match and man of the series.

Zimbabwe recently lost another series against India, but they have a chance to make up for the disappointment when they play New Zealand in a one off T-20 match on Sunday.

After New Zealand Zimbawe will host Pakistan next in September where they will continue searching for favourable results. Endi
