China condemned Friday's truck bombing attack in Afghanistan's capital Kabul, in which at least eight civilians were killed and nearly 400 others wounded.

"We are against terrorist attacks in any form," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said in a statement.

According to Kabul police chief Gen. Abdul Rahman Rahimi, the truck bomb was detonated in the Shah Shahid Mina locality in eastern Kabul at around 1 a.m. and all the killed and injured were innocent civilians.

"China extends heartfelt condolences to the victims and expresses deep sympathy for the wounded and the families of the victims," Hua said.

China firmly supports the Afghan government's efforts to safeguard national security and stability, she said, noting that China is willing to work with the international community to help Afghanistan to realize peace, stability and development. Endi
