Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Thursday expressed sorrow and concern over a suicide bomb attack at a mosque in Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed her government's commitment to work together with Saudi Arabia and the international community to fight terrorism.

The prime minister said it is a matter of sorrow and concern that at least 17 people were killed and more than 30 others were injured in the suicide bomb attack.

"I take this opportunity to reiterate that Bangladesh denounces terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and reaffirm our government's commitment to work together with Saudi Arabia and the world community to fight against this menace," she said in a message sent to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

"I express my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to Your Majesty and through you to the family members of the victims as well as all the Saudi brethren for this sad incident," she said.

Sheikh Hasina added: "The people of Bangladesh join me in expressing their solidarity in your fight against terrorism in the country and beyond." Endi
