Czech unveils squad for world athletics championships

The Czech Athletics Association on Tuesday nominated 24 athletes for the world championships which is to be held in Beijing, China, on August 22-30. The nomination includes 9 women and 15 men.

Men: Pavel Maslak (400m), Jakub Holusa (1500m), Petr Svoboda (110m hurdles), Jaroslav Baba (high jump), Jan Kudlicka, Michal Balner (pole vault), Radek Juska (long jump), Tomas Stanek, Jan Marcell (shot put), Lukas Melich (hammer throw), Jakub Vadlejch, Petr Frydrych, Vitezslav Vesely (all javelin), Adam Sebastian Helcelet (decathlon), Lukas Gdula (50 km walk).

Women: Zuzana Hejnova, Denisa Rosolova (400m hurdles), Lucie Sekanova (3000m hurdles), Jirina Ptacnikova (pole vault), Tereza Kralova (hammer-throw), Barbora Spotakova (javelin), Anezka Drahotova, Lucie Pelantova (20 km walk), Eliska Klucinova (heptathlon). Endi
