Brazil to play Costa Rica in friendly

Xinhua, August 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazil will play Costa Rica in an international friendly in New Jersey on September 5, the country's football federation said on Tuesday.

The clash at Red Bull Arena will be followed by another friendly against the United States at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, three days later.

Brazil and Costa Rica last met in 2011 when the Selecao won 1-0 in San Jose.

The matches will provide the teams with a chance to fine-tune their preparations for 2018 World Cup qualifying.

Brazil begin their South America zone campaign in October with an away clash against Chile. Endi
