Export of Albania increases 5.8 pct in June

Exports of goods of Albania amounted to 24 billion lek (about 190 million U.S. dollars) in June 2015, with an increase of 5.8 percent compared with June 2014, the Albanian National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported on Tuesday.

According to INSTAT, goods imports in June amounted to 49 billion lek, down by 1.1 percent compared with June 2014 and increasing by 10.0 percent compared with May 2015. The trade deficit in June amounted to 25 billion lek, down by 6.9 percent compared with June 2014 and increased by 23.3 percent compared with May 2015.

The country's trade with EU countries occupy 67.6 percent of all trade, where exports represent 73.2 percent of the total and imports 64.8 percent.

The country's main trade partners are Italy with 34.8 percent, Greece 7.6 percent, Turkey 5.8 percent and China 5.4 percent. (1 U.S. dollar = 126 lek) Endit
