Vietnam beats China's Liaoning at int' l women's volleyball tournament

Vietnam on Tuesday evening defeated the Chinese club of Liaoning 3-2 at the 2015 International Women's Volleyball Tournament - VTV Cup in Vietnam' s southern Bac Lieu province.

The host team downed Liaoning 3-2 with the scores of 25-18, 26-28, 25-18, 13-25 and 18-16, making their four-match winning streak, while Chinese girls suffered their first loss at the tournament.

In the match on Tuesday, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa scored 27 points, becoming Vietnam' s top scorer, while the 21-year-old player Li Yuwei scored 19 points for Liaoning.

The tournament, lasting from July 25 to August 1, hosts six teams from China, the Democratic People' s Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Endi
