Vietnam gains semifinal berth to women's volleyball tournament

A hard-won victory over Thailand on Monday evening sent Vietnam to semifinals of the 2015 International Women's Volleyball Tournament - VTV Cup in Vietnam' s southern Bac Lieu province.

Vietnam secured their third triumph at the tournament by downing Thailand 3-1 with the scores of 25-22, 25-19, 23-25 and 25-20.

This is the first time the result of a match at the tournament was decided by more than three sets. All other matches at the tournament ended with the same final score of 3-0.

On Tuesday, Vietnam will play the Chinese volleyball club of Liaoning, who have also made a three-match winning streak and grabbed a seat at the semifinals. Endi
