Tokyo shares end lower

Xinhua, July 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo issues ended the trading Monday lower as sentiment here was weighed down by concerns over U. S. and China economic outlook, and investors are waiting for earning reports of domestic large firms.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average closed down 194.43 points, or 0.95 percent from Friday to 20,350.10.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 17.96 points, or 1.08 percent, at 1, 637.90.

Decliners were led by financing business issues, chemicals and other products.

The turnover was about 2,090.4 billion yen (about 16.93 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
